Kimberly Giselle Hernandez is a native of Chicago, IL and currently resides in Madison, WI. As a mixed-media artist, Kimberly plays with contrast through the dichotomy of imagery and saturated color. Influenced by her identity as a Mexican-American woman, Kimberly explores the meaning of beauty in her work by exaggerating shape, color, and texture. Her artwork lives somewhere in between realism and surrealism.

 

 

 

Kimberly received her B.A. from Carthage College in Kenosha, WI, in 2021, where she studied Psychological Science and Sociology. Her research areas include race, gender, and information processing.
